Guess Purses and Bags

GUESS? history began  in 1981 as a small California jeans company by the Marciano brothers, Georges, Maurice and Paul.  They sold their first pair of jeans to Bloomingdale’s; as a favor to the Marciano brothers, Bloomingdale’s agreed to sell two-dozen pairs of the ankle zip, tight fitting Marilyn jeans.  The store didn’t expect them to sell since at the time denim wasn’t “in” but within hours the entire stock was sold out.  With that GUESS was born and has made its way to the top in fashion designer clothing and accessories.

GUESS created superstars out of unknown models with their sexy, voyeuristic ad campaigns.  Models such as Carla Bruni and Naomi Campbell launched their careers in the eye catching GUESS ad campaigns.  GUESS expanded beyond jeans during the eighties with Baby GUESS, GUESS?  Watches and footwear and GUESS?  Perfume.  The nineties led to an international expansion of GUESS?  And the introduction of GUESS purses, jewelry, swimwear, and accessories.

GUESS purses are fashionable and affordable to a wide range of women.  The sexy image that GUESS presents in their clothing is also expressed in GUESS purses.  You can purchase a GUESS purse in almost any color of the rainbow, and in many different styles. There is a GUESS purse to suit any woman, those who are more classic and reserved, and those girls who just want to have fun.

The Sweet Tart Box Bag is a GUESS purse for those who are looking for high spirited fun.  In bright colors such as a bright green, this GUESS purse is ready for a day out on the town. The Sweet Tart Guess Purse has a patent quilted exterior and the signature G print canvas lined interior. It is also very functional, with double handles and a removable shoulder strap, top zip with strappy pull, three interior slip pockets, and one zipper compartment.

The Baby Belle Shoulder Bag from GUESS purse is another fun purse.  This GUESS purse is deceptively roomy and has a mini belle jacquard exterior with metallic patent trim.  It is accented by polished pale gold hardware, a G print satin lining, and snap closure.  The Libby is a GUESS purse for those women who like a roomier handbag.  It comes in a croc-embossed print and with a raised enamel logo; it also has plenty of inside pockets and compartments and will go with anything from casual to dress clothing.

Much of the popularity of GUESS clothing and accessories such as the GUESS purse came from the company’s  award winning photography and sultry ad campaigns. These are the genius of Paul Marciano, whose creative direction made GUESS the iconic brand that it is today. Instead of studio shots Paul took the models outside took grainy black and white photos of their provocative poses. These controversial ads brought some criticism and lots of attention to the models and the GUESS clothing they were wearing. Guess advertising has been awarded almost every distinguished design award, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art chose the Guess Press Book and Nashville catalogue for its Permanent Library Collection.
