Michael Kors is the brain child behind the Michael Kors line. Michael Kors is responsible for Michael Kors Runway Collection, the MICHEAL clothing line and the KORS clothing line. Of the three, the MICHEAL includes the design and production of women’s apparel. They are also responsible for the production of female handbags and shoes.

Celebrities like Joan Allen and Jennifer Lopez have been known to wear his designs. He is also responsible for designing clothing seen on screen.

New York Times editor, and fashion critic, the late Amy Spindler, described Kors as: "… a designer with so much integrity in his work that it is wonderful when fashion comes back to the sort of simple, beautiful clothes he does so well." This same preference to simple modern beauty is the underlying theme of all his bags.
